2023年，新冠疫情解封後，超過37,000名中國公民逃離全球第二大經濟體，成為美墨邊境上成長最快的族群。他們中多數從南美洲徒步穿越雨林，途經多個國家偷渡進入美國，這段驚心動魄的旅程被中國網友稱為－ #走線 。歪腦團隊與這群中國「走線客」共同穿越長達100公里的達連雨林，全程記錄了他們為追尋自由所經歷的艱辛旅程。

是什麼原因讓他們踏上如此危險的旅程？抵達美國後，他們又面臨什麼挑戰？八個月後，歪腦團隊再次在美國回訪這些走線客，記錄下他們在陌生土地上為生存而奮鬥的堅韌、無奈與勇氣，以及夢想與現實的差距。

In 2023, more than 37,000 Chinese nationals fled the world's second-largest economy and tried to cross the U.S.-Mexico border to reach the United States, becoming the fastest-growing migrant group on the U.S. border. The WHYNOT team spent a year and a half documenting their difficult journey from Turkey to Ecuador, from Colombia through the Darien Gap rainforest to Panama, then heading north from Mexico into the United States. What made them embark on such a dangerous journey? What challenges do they face once they arrive in the United States?
